A few more words about this series.
Sometimes we don't realize how much we look outside for answers. In nature we are all capable to trust our own path, our own knowing. What is right for one person isn't always right for us. So when we ask others what they will do in a certain situation, we may assume that we would be best to choose that too. However we can often find ourselves out of alignment and confused about why we feel sad, frustrated, anxious or even resentful. Once we start trusting ourselves and we make our decisions based on this inner truth and knowing, we become even more happy and fulfilled.

Your Instructor

Tara Cooper was an elementary school teacher for a decade, and she has been a parent and a business owner since 2007. As a high school student and later when she became an employee at her multiple careers, she wondered why she wasn't feeling "normal". She always felt a bit like an outcast or a loner (even though she had some great friends). She just didn't always feel like she fit in. As she continued growing, she started to recognize the patterns in her life that made her feel out of alignment. She said yes to things that didn't feel right (just to be nice to others), she often looked outside herself for answers, only to find that those answers others provided her, didn't feel right. She often did things to please others more than she did things to please herself. She became a people pleaser and eventually burned out. When we burn out, we quite literally lose our joy (our light) for life. In order to feel aligned and fulfilled we must fill our own cup, but we also must follow our own inner compass. No one else knows better than we do, what is right for us.
